THE SECRET AGENTS
“Our work is a public space that all visitors to the Jakarta Biennale 2009 can access for free, and mainly works as a meeting point or a lounge area at the National Gallery of Indonesia. “We also designed the space to resemble a secret lobby of sorts, where unpredictable things, encounters, and gossips will take place. Architecturally, The Secret Lobby will also serve as the most practical meeting point for visitors to a vast area or big building. “For the visitors, our work will perhaps function as the most distinctive meeting point/lobby for people who previously didn’t know one another. We will use the space as a kind of introduction to the world of The Secret Agents: a world full of elements of memories, déjà vu, interpretations, romanticism, voyeurism, surveillance (ranging from observing, analyzing, to spying), photo albums, journals, notes, places, visuals, events, and, last but not least, secret agents. “It is for such variety of objectives that The Secret Agents ‘fill’ the area with an array of interactive object that can be used, or exploited, and played. The interactive concept is also identical with the world of The Secret Agents.
